People were laughing for a good cause Saturday night. "A Night Out in Syracuse" was held at the fairgrounds. A few local comedians from the Wise Guys Club took the stage, before headliner Michael Winslow from the movie Police Academy performed his act. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Carol Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund. "We're here to celebrate the survivors of breast cancer, as well as bring awareness to breast cancer, and the impact it has on our society. It's impacted my family as well as many of the other volunteers," said David Wheeler, co-owner of the Wise Guys Club. This is the event's second year. The Carol Baldwin Foundation has donated millions of dollars for medical research to helpfind a cure for breast cancer. You can donate, or learn more about the organization here.
