Shakespeare in the Park returns to the Syracuse's Thornden Park Ampitheatre, with the comedy 'Much Ado About Nothing.'
This year's free performances have expanded to also include English country dancing, Renaissance games, and crafts and food (including locally concocted 'Much Ado' ice cream). Kate Fahey, who plays Beatrice, the female lead, showed off her period Italian costume, as she talked to us about the role.  The Syracuse native studied  theatre in college, but works for government, and says she auditioned because she's always loved the play,  a classic love comedy that shows there have always been strong-minded women.
"Much Ado About Nothing' will be performed Thursday - Saturday at 5:30pm, and Sunday at 2pm the next two weeks (August 12 - 22).   www.syracuseshakespearefestival.org
