OSWEGO -- A planned building demolition tomorrow will result in a street closing in the City of Oswego tomorrow. Here are the details provided by Oswego Police:
The Oswego City Police Department wishes to alert motorists to a traffic change planned for tomorrow, August 13, 2010.
Due to the planned demolition of the building located at 133 West 5th Street in Oswego, NY, the Traffic Section of the Oswego Police Department will be closing West 5th Street from West Oneida Street to West Bridge Street (State Route 104) for all vehicular traffic. The demolition is planned to begin around 7:00am and the street will be closed from that time until completion, which is expected to be about noon tomorrow. Once the area has been deemed safe, regular traffic flow will resume.
Additionally during this time, work vehicles and equipment will most likely be staged in the parking lane on West Bridge Street (State Route 104) at the site, limiting eastbound traffic on West Bridge Street (State Route 104) to only one lane.
The Oswego City Police Department wishes to remind motorists to drive with caution in this area during the times of demolition.
