LENOX -- A follow up to our story last month about a dock burning incident on the shore of Oneida Lake in the  Madison County Town of Lenox.

A resident of Old Orchard Road claimed that Madison County Sheriff's Sergeant Pat Wrafter had something to do with the incident. Wafter was placed on leave with pay at the time. Sheriff Allen Riley confirms that Wrafter is back on the job but could not discuss the situation because he says it's a personnel issue.

The incident also caused Madison County to look into whether the shoreline where people have installed docks is public land.

County Administrator Paul Miller tells us today that a title search found the shoreline is not owned by the county but is registered to the Lake Oneida Beach Property Association. Miller says he is trying to contact that organization.
