Syracuse Ceramic Guild's 30th edition
Ceramic Guild artists will be showing and selling their pottery, sculpture and Raku at this year's Pottery Fair. Chair Denise Dowdall says barns, tents and a sculpture garden at Stone Quarry Hill Art Park will be full of art from over forty guild members. There are also hands-on creative projects for children, who can create and paint clay objects, and for adults who can glaze and Raku-fire their work. This is the 30th anniversary show for the Syracuse Ceramic Guild and some of the original members are among those displaying. Dowdall says that in addition to the show, the grounds and other exhibits at Stone Quarry Hill Art Park will be open for families, and the Lost Boys, Sudanese refugees who've relocated to Syracuse, will also be selling crafts theyve made. The Pottery Fair is Saturday and Sunday, August 12 (10 - 5) and Sunday (10 - 4). Free parking, admission $3, under 12 free.
