SALINA (AP) -- Onondaga County sheriff's deputies say they have found the driver of a car that may have been involved in a deadly crash on the Onondaga Lake Parkway.
Deputies say John D'Amore, 21, of Salina, is cooperating with the investigation.
Sheriff Kevin Walsh says his office got several tips identifying D'Amore as the driver of a silver-colored sedan. After the crash on Monday, deputies asked the public for any information to identiify the car and driver.
Deputies believe road rage may have played a part in the crash. They say Matthew Stephan, 22, was trying to pass D'Amore when he crossed the center line and hit another driver head on. A 40-year-old woman from North Syracuse, Mary Denny, was killed.
So far no charges have been filed in the crash.
