Syracuse man arrested on felony assault, weapons charges

SCRIBA, OSWEGO CO. -- A Syracuse man is under arrest after police say he attacked another person with a knife.

According to the Oswego County Sheriff's Office, John F. Hilborn of Benham Avenue in Syracuse was arrested early Friday morning after deputies say he allegedly got into an altercation and caused injuries with a knife. Police have not said exactly what those injuries were, or how severe they are. The incident and arrest took place at the KTM Mini Mart in the Town of Scriba just before 1:30 a.m Friday.

Hilborn has been charged with felony second degree assault and felony third degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in the Town of Scriba Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to court on Thursday, August 26.
