SYRACUSE -- CNY Central is excited to announce that the CW6 News at Ten will be expanding to a full hour of news weekdays starting Monday, August 30th.

“CW6 has been providing news and weather to viewers that do not want to wait until 11 o’clock for their news.” said Matt Mulcahy.  “Expanding to an hour will give viewers even more opportunity to get their news and weather at a more convenient time.”

Joining Matt Mulcahy on the expanded show will be Lisa Spitz, who is a familiar face to Central New Yorkers.  Besides reporting the latest news and updates, Matt and Lisa will discuss the hot topics of the day, and give viewers the opportunity to interact and express their views.

“Social Media and Networking sites are such a big part of our lives now.” Spitz said.  “We’ll use tools like Facebook and our own CNYcentral.com to communicate with our viewers and make them part of the conversation.”

The CNY Central Weather Team will expand their weather coverage during the full hour and give viewers many opportunities to get the forecast and important weather information.

“CNY Central’s news, weather and sports departments are striving to give viewers more opportunities and more choices to get the information they need where they want it and when they want it,” said Chris Geiger, President of CNY Central.
