SYRACUSE -- Two men are facing charges this morning after leading Syracuse police on a car chase early this morning.

Police say shortly before midnight, 25-year-old Cameron Grady, of Camillus, stole a car at the Sunoco gas station on North State Street after the owner accidentally dropped her keys entering the store.

About an hour later, police say they spotted the 2010 Chevy Impala on West Street.  When they tried to stop the car, the driver sped off, leading police on a chase on 690 West and 695 South before exiting at Gerelock Road.  That's where the Grady, who was identified as the driver, drove off the road.  Grady and the passenger, 24-year-old Matthew Jackson of Syracuse, tried to run away but were quickly caught.

Jackson has been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and released.

Grady faces a number of felony charges, including two counts of criminal possession of stolen property and driving while intoxicated.
