Community walk, dinner planned
SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Behavioral Healthcare is throwing an anniversary party to celebrate the work it's been doing over the past 90 years to help Central New Yorkers recover from addiction.
CEO Jeremy Klemanski says Central New York is treatment-rich when it comes to options for help with abuse, addiction and other behavioral health issues. SBH treats 18-year-olds and up, and has also seen an increase in its caseload because of personal problems magnified by the bad economy.
To mark the anniversary, there is a Recovery Walk set for Burnet Park on Thursday evening at 5:00. Registration is at 4:00.
There is also an anniversary dinner celebrating '90 years of Recovering Lives' scheduled for the Drumlins Country Club on September 24.
