STARKEY (AP) -- Police say they've recovered the body of a marina owner thrown overboard during a high-speed accident on Seneca Lake.
The Seneca County Sheriff's office says 44-year-old Donald Roberts Jr. of Burdett and a co-worker were testing a 29-foot Kryptonite boat owned by his Glen Harbor Marina when it suddenly swerved and threw both men into the lake near Juniper Point.
The accident happened just before 5 p.m. Saturday. Authorities say 34-year-old Frank Carson of Odessa told them he was at the helm and doing 70 or 80 mph when he lost control, possibly because of a fault in the steering system. Carson suffered minor injuries.
Roberts' body was found Sunday in about 100 feet of water and300 feet from shore. Investigators are examining the boat.
