Tuesday night on the Talk at 10 on CW 6 anchors Matt Mulcahy, Lisa Spitz and Michael Benny talked about America and the world's reaction to the Florida minister who wants to hold a "burn the Koran day" to mark September 11th.
Michael Benny directed the conversation to Pastor Terry Jones and his website for the Dove World Outreach Center. That's where the pastor has just added five more reasons to burn the Koran. The discussion talked about the lack of credibility Jones has within the religious community and when his credentials are closely examined.
Lisa Spitz talked about how the protest idea is even more offensive because the church intends to hold it on September 11th which is a day that should be held as a solemn time for the families of the victims.
Matt Mulcahy sampled some of the world coverage of the story on the BBC and Al Jazeera websites to see how the story was being received. It turns out it was the denouncement of General David Petraeus and his concern over threats to American troops overseas that really elevated the story.
The Talk at 10 airs weeknights on the newly expanded 10:00 News on CW 6.
