HURON (AP) -- State police say two people were hurt when a small seaplane crash-landed in a western New York cornfield.
The two-seat plane came down in Huron in Wayne County around 1 p.m. Thursday. State police say the aircraft, which was coming from Michigan, ran out of gas and landed on its nose.
Wayne County Emergency Management Director George Bastedo said the two people on the plane were able to get out on their own and were taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
