MATTYDALE -- Local athletes are coming together tonight to help raise money for the Hinsdale Mattydale Little League team.
In August, a fire destroyed the concession stand at Burnham Park. It was a main source of revenue for the baseball team, and the team has been trying to figure out a way to keep going.
Tonight, a pep rally, parade, and bonfire are being held to kick off the Pop Warner football season. The Mattydale Vikings plan to donate profits from tonight's concession stand sales to the Little League team.
If you couldn't make it out tonight, you still have time to donate.
There are continues donations going on in the area. The Penny Pincher's Can and Bottle Return on 1105 Wolf Street in Syracuse will gladly take donations. The Nickel Back Bottle Return on Rt. 11 in Mattydale is always accepting donations, too. Just tell them the donation is for the Mattydale-Hinsdale Little League.
