There was an outpouring of support today in Bridgeport for Peggy Blume.

Blume was hit by a drunk driver on May 24th and was in a coma for 10 days following the crash.

Today, the community came together to help raise money for Blume as she makes her recovery.

Family and friends of Peggy Blume put on a fundraiser for Blume at the Bridgeport Fireman's field.

More than 500 people showed up to support Peggy. A silent auction, raffle tickets, t-shirts and much more helped raise funds for Peggy.

The money will cover expenses like making Blume's home handicap accessible. Blume is in a wheelchair now, but family members say she should be able to walk again someday.

Donation to the Peggy Blume Benefit Fund can be sent to:

C/O Oneida Savings Bank

104 South Peterboro Street

Canastota, NY 13032

Donations are accepted at all Oneida Savings Banks.
