CLAY -- A Canadian power company plans to ship 16 scrapped nuclear generators across the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence Seaway to be recycled in Europe.

The plans have several environmental groups concerned. The generators are bus-sized and the company says they've been shut to prevent leakage.

Save the River is part of a larger group called Great Lakes United. Great Lakes United plans to testify at next week's hearing on the shipment.
