WAMPSVILLE -- There is new information in the case of a Liverpool teen accused of driving drunk in a crash that killed her friend last May.
Investigators have determined that the alcohol sold to Chelsea Kuss and Victoria Deverso was sold in Onondaga County. Madison County District Attorney Bill Gabor says his office has passed the information on to the Onondaga County District Attorney. Onondaga County has confirmed they have an active investigation going on, but would not say which store sold the alcohol.
Chelsea Kuss is scheduled to appear in court the morning of February 7. She is expected to plead guilty to an unspecified charge and be sentenced the same day.
Kuss is accused of aggravated vehicular homicide - and other charges - for the May 24, 2010 crash that killed her friend Deverso. The crash also severely injured the driver of an oncoming minivan, Peggy Blume, after Kuss was speeding down State Route 31 and swerving in and out of traffic.

There was progress Thursday afternoon in the prosecution of 18-year-old Chelsea Kuss. She's the teen accused in a high speed drunk driving crash that killed her friend and critically injured a woman in May.
Attorneys on both side of the case met with Judge Biagio Distefano in the judge's chambers in Madison County Court. District Attorney William Gabor and defense attorney Robert Durr were both part of the private discussion. Among the issues that can be discussed during these pre-trial conferences are possibilities of plea deals that would keep the case from going to trial.
Kuss is accused of aggravated vehicular homicide, driving while intoxicated, and several other charges. The May 24 crash killed her friend Victoria Deverso and critically injured Peggy Blume, a 38-year-old mother of three. Investigators say Kuss and Deverso skipped school that day to spend time at Sylvan Beach.
The crash happened on State Route 31 in Bridgeport, after Kuss was driving nearly 90 miles per hour and passing cars on a two lane road.
