SYRACUSE --
The City of Syracuse will be replacing the sewer in the 300 block of Montgomery Street and in the intersection of East Fayette and Montgomery Streets beginning Monday, Sept. 27 at 7 a.m. The project is expected to take several weeks to complete and will result in the following street closures and parking restrictions:
Street Closures
The Montgomery Street/East Fayette Street intersection will be closed to all traffic during the first week of construction. This intersection will be reopened for the second part of the project.
Montgomery Street from East Washington Street to East Jefferson Street will be closed to through traffic. It will be open to local traffic only as construction permits.
E. Fayette Street from South State Street to South Warren Street will be closed to through traffic. It will be open to local traffic only as construction permits.
Sidewalks
Sidewalks on Montgomery Street and East Fayette Street will remain open to pedestrian traffic.
Parking
Parking on Montgomery Street will be closed. The Murbro parking lots on the east and west side of Montgomery Street between East Washington and East Fayette Streets will remain open. The City Parking Garage on the corner of East Fayette Street and Montgomery Street will remain open.
