SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse teenager is dead after an overnight shooting in the city.

According to Syracuse Police, officers received multiple calls of shots fired on the 100 block of Eastman Avenue just after midnight Thursday. When they arrived, they found 17-year-old Kiwan Rush laying unconscious near a van in a driveway and suffering from a gunshot wound.

Rush was taken to Upstate University Hospital where he later died.

According to the Syracuse Post-Standard, this is not the first time that Rush was found to have been shot. Click here to read more coverage.

Police say that so far they do not have any suspects in the case, but witnesses are cooperating. If anyone has any information, they are asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at 315-442-5222.
