Syracuse's rose gardeners are offering indoor flower decorations

Say 'Syracuse Rose Society' and you think roses...or the Thornden Park Rose Garden, just honored as the #2 rose garden in the country.  But rosarians have been busy raising other plants in their gardens as well, and this weekend they'll be selling them at their annual dried flower sale.  Murial Prianti says you can buy the dried--but very colorful--flowers loose or in bunches, or already made up into wreaths or arrangements.  She also says the sale, at Syracuse's Regional Market, starting at 7am on Saturday, is a good place to get decorating ideas.  Besides color, some of the plants, like lavender, are also fragrant.
The sale is a fundraiser for the Syracuse Rose Society, which maintains the E.M. Mills Rose Garden at Thornden Park, and this coming year will host the national miniature rose convention in June.
