For Michael Borkowski Syracuse football is a family affair. Three generations of orange fans were up on the hill Friday night ready to root on SU Saturday against Pitt. "We're huge fans," said Borkowski. "It will be huge if they can win tomorrow, you got a team to believe in right now."
Marshall Street was buzzing with alumni in town for the homecoming game. They'll be watching a team that's in the middle of a winning streak. "It's very exciting, a lot of people on campus it's great to see and hopefully they come out with a win," said Chris Lacombe.
SU is going into the game with it's best start to the season since 1999. "It's always very exciting. Whether the team is winning or losing it's always great to follow Syracuse," said SU alum Jill Finestone.
The businesses that line Marshall Street say they are seeing a lot of green from orange fans. "Our cooler is completely full you can't even walk in it, we're opening a second bar and we're going to have 6 people on as opposed to 3 or 4," said Kash who works at the Pita Pit.
Manny's right up the block has shelves stocked with orange. "The more we win the more people that come in, the more people that come in the better we do as a store. Absolutely," said Bill Nester with Manny's.
40-thousand fans are expected to pack the Dome for Saturday's game.
