Jerry Greenfield serves some of his famous ice cream
Apple cider and hot chocolate are usually the treats of choice at pumpkin farms this time of year, but a special visitor changed all that this weekend.
Jerry Greenfield paid a visit to Our Farm in Manlius to scoop some Ben & Jerry's ice cream.
Jerry is a longtime friend of Our Farm's owners Jimmy and Janine Golub. He served up some classic Ben & Jerry's flavors like Cherry Garcia and Milk and Cookies.
Greenfield says being around the festive fall atmosphere may inspire him to create a new flavor.
"I think a pumpkin flavor would be great.," Greenfield says. "Ben & Jerry's has dabbled in pumpkin cheescake, and I think it's going to be out there."
Our Farm owner Jimmy Golub says this year's attendance numbers have been the best in their 25 year history.
