EAST SYRACUSE -- Another Central New Yorker is an instant millionaire after winning the lottery.
The New York Lottery tells CNY Central that a local woman is the latest jackpot winner of a lottery game. The East Syracuse resident, whose name has not yet been released, will be presented with the customary oversized check at a news conference Thursday afternoon to celebrate her good luck
The woman won her $1 million prize by playing a scratch-off game at the Red Apple/Kwik Fill convenience store on Manlius Center Road in East Syracuse. She is the sixth lottery-winning millionaire from Central New York just this year, following a man from Fayetteville, a woman from Syracuse, and three employees of New Process Gear in DeWitt.
The Syracuse woman and NPG workers purchased their tickets from the same Price Chopper store in Syracuse within just a few weeks of each other.
