SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse man will spent 18 years to life in prison for murdering his girlfriend. Henry Williams, 30, of 101 Trinity Place, was sentenced in Onondaga County Court Wednesday morning.

He previously pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the death of 30-year-old Lashonda Graves. Her body was found at Springfield Garden apartments in DeWitt back in April.

Police say Williams told them he left her body in a parking garage at the apartment complex after the couple got into an argument. Investigators say he later took off to a house on Westcott Street where he called 911, threatening to hurt himself. They later found Graves' lifeless body.

Her family says she leaves behind three children and just lost her own mother earlier this year.
