SYRACUSE -- It will soon be easier for you to take your family to Walt Disney World. JetBlue Airways announced it will add a second daily non-stop flight between Syracuse and Orlando, Florida.
The flight will begin in February and will run all year except September.
"With more than 400 daily passengers between these two cities, this is Syracuse's most-traveled route and among the most successful in JetBlue's entire network," said Scott Laurence, vice president of route planning for JetBlue Airways. "We are pleased to have worked with the City, the region's business community and Congressman Dan Maffei to identify this opportunity and add this new flight to our Syracuse service."
Starting February 17th, you'll be able to fly to Orlando on a 7:10am flight and 3:30pm flight. You'll be able to return from Orlando on a 12:05pm flight and a 5:20pm flight. Tickets are already available for purchase.
"This is exciting news for the people of Syracuse and Central New York," said Mayor Stephanie Miner. "This announcement only adds to the importance of making our airport one that encourages growth and new service. I...hope that this is just one more step of many to provide the traveling public with more destinations and lower fares."
