AURELIUS, CAYUGA CO. -- Cayuga County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a hit and run accident.

It happened around 6:30pm Sunday at Pour Lance's Coffee and Stanton Automatics at 2150 Ellis Drive in Aurelius.

Authorities arrived on the scene to find a car had smashed into the building, causing extensive damage.

Witnesses say the car, driven by a man, was heading into Auburn on Route 5 and 20. They describe the car as a light blue or gray Mazda Tribute similar to the one pictured. Investigators think the car likely has significant front end damage.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office and leave any information with Deputy David Harkness at (315) 294-8143 or Sgt. Jeff Ross at (315) 253-5077.
