EAST SYRACUSE -- Rescue crews are on the scene of an accident involving three vehicles, including a police car.

It happened around 10:50am on Manlius Center Road and Basile Rowe near the Wal-Mart in East Syracuse.

Investigators on the scene tell us three people were transported to area hospitals with non life threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation shows a mini van trying to turn onto Manlius Center Road from Basile Rowe collided with a Village of East Syracuse police car. The force of the collision knocked the mini van over on its side. It  was then hit by an SUV traveling behind it.

The police car was on routine patrol and not responding to an emergency call.

We have a news crew on the scene gathering information. Stay with CNYCentral.com for updates.
