INTERLAKEN, SENECA CO. -- A Seneca County man is facing DWI charges in connection with an accident that damaged the Interlaken Post Office.

Seth J. Brewster of 3613 Mechanic Street in Interlaken is facing charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Seneca County Sheriff's investigators say Brewster struck the Interlaken Post Office with his car early Saturday morning then fled. Deputies arrested him shortly after 3:00 a.m.

Police say Brewster had a blood alcohol content of 0.18% when he was arrested. That's more than twice the legal limit.

A news release from the sheriff's office says the incident caused severe damage to the building.

Brewster is due back in court on December 6.
