Holiday shopping spree offers incentives
The sixteen wineries on the Cayuga Wine Trail have two weekends of special holiday events, and incentives for touring.
Cathy Millspaugh, the group's executive director, says visitors will get a wreath---grapevine, of course--and ornaments from each of the wineries. One, which looks like a picture of the Earth, is actually a wildflower seed pad, to be planted in a garden next spring. In addition there are free wine glasses, and a mug for the designated driver, wine and food pairings and holiday recipes, and a shoppers' card that offers discounts on gifts. Some of the wineries will also offer early bird breakfasts, and there are grand prize drawings and accomodations deals at hotels.
The Holiday Shopping Spree runs November 19 - 21 and December 3 - 5. www.cayugawinetrail.com has more information.
