SYRACUSE -- The days are numbered for the historic New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ.
The building on South Salina Street is in dire need of repair. Parts of walls and the roof are falling apart -- with it so bad in the back of the church that people aren't even allowed near it. And with no money to fix the lingering problems, city fire officials say everyone needs to be out by the end of the month.
Pastor James Jones says the news was delivered about a month and a half ago. And while the congregation isn't happy about moving, Jones says people are thankful fire officials warned them of the problem before something bad happened.
