LEE, ONEIDA CO. -- An Oneida County man walks away with only minor injuries when branches plunged onto his car, smashing through his windshield. It could have been much worse for Dean Worden, 39, of Lyons Falls. He escaped serious injuries after branches fell onto his vehicle in the Town of Lee.

Oneida County Sheriff's deputies say high winds ripped off several tree branches, which came down on Worden's car on Route 26 just north of the intersection with Stokes-Westernville Road.

Worden was treated at the scene and taken to Rome Hospital for evaluation with possible glass in his eyes.
