BOONVILLE, ONEIDA CO. -- Two Oneida County high school students were arrested earlier this week after police say they lied about being bulled in school.

According to State Police, 17-year-old Shawnee Hill of Boonville was arrested on Tuesday and charged with misdemeanor falsely reporting an incident and providing a written false statement. Police say Hill and an unnamed teen lied to authorities and said that another tenth grade student had bullied them at Adirondack High School. The second teen, a 15-year-old, was also charged with falsely reporting an incident. That student’s name has not been released.

Hill and the unnamed student were issued appearance tickets and released. Hill is scheduled to appear in Village of Boonville Court on December 8. The second teen will appear in family court at an unspecified date.
