SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police say a search for a bank robbery suspect has turned up a body.

Officers were called to an armed robbery at the ACMG Credit Union, at the corner of South Salina Street and Seneca Turnpike, midday Saturday, where a man displayed a gun during the stickup.

A search of the grounds around nearby St. James Catholic Church, on South Salina, led to the discovery of a man, dead, lying in the snow.

Investigators say they do not believe the two incidents are related. They say the body is a black male, and was found wearing only pants and shoes. Police say the body could have been there for days but wasn't visible until snow on the ground started to melt.
