It's the standard year-end message: don't drink and drive, but police agencies say it bears repeating so that more people hear and actually understand why.
Sgt. Gary Bulinski, from Syracuse Police, says it's a good idea to plan alternatives before you go out to party (designated driver, or limo or taxi service, or staying over), that once you start drinking it's easy to keep drinking without realizing how it's affecting you. And, it's not just you--there are others on the roads that could become innocent targets.
