There have been some very impressive snowfall totals and very strong wind gusts. New top snowfall totals are:
31.8" in Elizabeth, NJ
20" in Central Park, NYC
24" in Brooklyn, NY
24.2" in Newark, NJ
16.5" in Boston, MA

As you can read above, there have been hurricane force wind gusts and dramatic ocean waves and water rises along the shoreline. According to the National Weather Service, in East Haven, Connecticut, there was coastal flooding allowing for water to rise to car windows!
