LIVERPOOL -- A Syracuse man was arrested Monday after police say he sold alcohol to a minor during a compliance check of local businesses.
State Police say that on Monday Troopers conducted an enforcement check of taverns, bars, and stores in the Town of Clay, Town of Salina, Village of Baldwinsville, and Village of Liverpool. Police say they checked 28 businesses for compliance with state laws regarding the sale of alcohol to minors. Of those 28 businesses, 27 passed the test, with the only exception being the Mobil Mart on Oswego Road in Liverpool.
As a result, Troopers arrested Michael S. Rogala, Jr. of Fairview Avenue in Syracuse and charged him with, unlawfully dealing with a child and prohibited sales of alcohol to a person under 21. Rogala is a cashier at the Mobil Mart and was discovered to be selling alcohol to minors while on duty.
