BUFFALO (AP) -- Two Buffalo firefighters have been hospitalized after falling through a floor in a burning house.

Fire Division Chief Jack Hess tells the Buffalo News their injuries aren't believed to be serious.

He says one of the firefighters stopped short of a hole in the second floor of the vacant 2 1/2-story house, but the floor gave way soon after, dropping three firefighters in all. The third was evaluated at the scene and stayed on duty.

The fire was reported just after 8 p.m. Wednesday in the city's East Delavan-Fillmore neighborhood.

The names of the firefighters have not been released.

The origin of the fire is described as "suspicious" and is under investigation.
