NORTH SYRACUSE -- The man charged with Syracuse's first homicide of the year is facing more charges stemming from previous crimes he allegedly committed last year.
Malcolm Dame, 35, is charged with manslaughter in the deadly stabbing of Daequan Kerce, 21 following a fight at a party.
Dame, of 208 N. Orchard Road in Solvay was arrested again, this time on a bench warrant stemming from an incident last summer in North Syracuse. On July 16th, Dame was stopped for speeding on South Bay Road. He allegedly lied to officer about his name to avoid arrest since he had an outstanding warrant in Syracuse and because his driving privileges were revoked.
Dame was arrested for false personation, aggravated unlicensed operation and displaying a forged or fictitious inspection sticker. He was also charged with speeding, driver's view obstructed, uninspected motor vehicle and unlicensed operator. He was arraigned and sent to the justice center on $750 cash bail. He was bailed out and was due back in court July 19th, but he jumped bail. A bench warrant was issued for Dame in September 2010.
A few days after Dame was arrested for that deadly stabbing in Syracuse, he was arraigned on that bench warrant and charged with bail jumping. He remains at the Justice Center without bail.
