ALBANY -- This week we saw the first major policy address from new Governor Andrew Cuomo. By the week's end, the politics surrounding he policies became more and more obvious.
Andrew Cuomo's State of the State Address was unusual in many respects.
Not only did he opt to have it before an audience of over 2000 people, he was more complementary than most governors about the men and women he will have to partner with, the legislature
Of course, he also spoke of the pain that New Yorkers will feel in the upcoming spending plan considering the size of the budget gap.
While business groups are for the Governor's spending cuts, advocates for low income New Yorkers told the other side of the story during the 22nd Annual "Peoples State of the State".
Coming up on Tuesday, President Barack Obama will be traveling to New York's Capital Region. No word yet on whether Governor Cuomo will be joining him.
