UTICA (AP) -- A 37-year-old former state worker admits he created a pornographic video of himself sexually abusing a mentally disabled boy at a state-run group home.
Stephen DeProspero of Rome pleaded guilty in federal court Monday and could face up to 60 years in prison when he's sentenced in June. He also faces 18 years to life in prison after pleading guilty in Oneida County Court to having sexual contact with the same severely autistic boy. Sentencing is set for Feb. 14.
DeProspero admitted that he was an employee with the state Central New York Developmental Disabilities Services Office when he recorded the boy performing a sexual act for several minutes on two occasions between 2006 and 2008.
