Drugs, weapons seized in Utica drug busts

UTICA -- Two Utica men are facing drug charges stemming from two Operation Impact investigations.

Utica police served a search warrant on a home on Seymour Avenue as they were looking into the sale and distribution of narcotics. Police say they found cocaine and marijuana inside along with cash and a .12 gauge shotgun. Tyrone Frazier, 40, is now charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

In another drug bust, Utica police arrested Akii Rondu Lockwood, 31. Investigators say they found cocaine and marijuana along with cash and a .38 caliber handgun at his home on Dudley Avenue. Lockwood is now charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a weapon.
