TOWN OF CLAY -- Police are looking for the public’s help in identifying an alleged store thief.

According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, a man walked into the H&M in the Great Northern Mall and allegedly stole some merchandise. Police did not specify what the merchandise was, or how much it was worth. Police say the man left the mall and got into a silver or tan minivan and drove away, headed east on State Route 31 in Clay.

Police describe the man as approximately 5’10” tall and weighing around 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a New York Yankees hat, dark jacket, and jeans. He also reportedly had tattoos of stars on his neck. A surveillance photo of the suspect can be seen accompanying this article.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office information hotline at 315-435-3051.
