ALBANY -- A new Siena poll indicates that voters like what Governor Andrew Cuomo is saying.
The first point to make is that according to voters, Cuomo is doing a lot right.
Siena polled voters on 11 policy initiatives he proposed during the State of the State.
4 of the issues were supported overwhelmingly by voters to the tune of 80% or more. They included 3 pocketbook issues, and one ethical issue.
The single issue voters disagree with Cuomo on is the personal income tax. While the Governor wants the tax to sunset, by a 55 to 42 percent margin, voters want to see the tax increase on those earning over $200,000 a year continued.
