GEDDES -- People living in Solvay and Geddes will soon have a third cable option.
Today the Public Service Commission approved a petition from New Visions Powerline Communications to provide cable to Solvay and Geddes. The East Syracuse company already provides internet and phone service in the area.
The company will receive a formal letter from the PSC announcing the approval within the next few days. The company says it should be able to start turning on the cable service for some customers within a few weeks.
Time Warner Cable and Verizon FiOS are already available in Solvay and Geddes.
