OSWEGO -- An Oswego County teen has been arrested and charged with producing child pornography involving two small children, then sending it England using a cell phone.

The Oswego County Sheriff's Office says in December of 2009 they discovered a 14-year-old Granby girl was in possession of several pornographic videos depicting two children less than the ages of three involved in sex acts.

Investigators concluded the videos were made by the teenager using a cell phone.

After further investigation, deputies determined the videos were sent via cell phone to a 17-year-old boy from the Coventry area in the United Kingdom.

The sheriff's department then contacted investigators in West Midland, UK, in February of 2010. Using the information provided to them by the Oswego County Sheriff's Department, the West Midland police executed a search warrant on the 17-year-old and were able to recover more evidence from his computers and cell phone.

At the time, the 17-year-old male was charged with several child pornography charges. The boy, who is now 18, was sentenced to an indefinite Hospital Order with restrictions, which will mean he is kept in a secure hospital and will only be released when he is no longer considered to be a threat. He will also go on the sex offender registry and police will have the authority to monitor him.

The 14-year-old from Granby was charged in January of 2010 as a juvenile delinquent with the following acts, which if committed by an adult, would constitute the crimes of Criminal Sex Act, First Degree, Sex Abuse, Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
