MANLIUS -- Manlius Police are looking for the public’s help after a man reportedly approaching two middle school students after they got off a school bus.

Police say the incident occurred Thursday around 3:20 p.m. Smith Street in the village. They say the unidentified man approached the students and asked them if they wanted to buy t-shirts. There was no physical contact, and the children reported the incident to their parents.

Police describe the suspect as a white male in his 20s with a medium build and short brown hair with a short-trimmed brown beard. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and driving a newer model silver/gray hatchback or crossover-style sport utility vehicle.

Investigators would like to speak to the suspect and determine his intentions. Anyone with any information on the case is asked to call the Manlius Police Department at 315-682-2212.
