ELBRIDGE -- The State Supreme Court has dealt another blow to the Jordan-Elbridge school board.

The court has ordered the district to reinstate their treasurer and to go through training to better understand the concepts of open government.

Judge Donald Greenwood ruled the board violated the rights of treasurer Anthony Scro by firing him this fall without going through the proper process under education law.

In a second case - brought by the suspended high school principal - Greenwood said the district again violated open meetings law by improperly going into executive session. The judge ordered board members to be trained on the proper way to run meetings within the next 90 days.
