Troopers blame unsafe speed

A Utica man has died while snowmobiling in Herkimer county this weekend.
Troopers say 40 year old Eric Prievo, from Newport Road, was on Dyke Road in the Town of Schuyler late Friday night when he slammed into the back of a mini-van. He was thrown from the snowmobile and pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers blame unsafe speed for the fatal crash.
