It’s not the Christmas blizzard the east coast got clobbered with a month ago, but yet another powerful storm is intensifying and working up the Atlantic seaboard.
We still feel that right here in CNY, we’ll miss the bulk of anything important from that storm, maybe getting a steady light snow sneaking into the Route 88 corridor Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday Night while NYC gets belted with rain that changes over to 3-6” of a heavy, wet slushy snow.
As of Tuesday evening, the combination of Winter Storm Watches and Warnings were in effect from the Deep South all the way up into central New England, and this included the major airports of Boston, NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington. No, it may not be the Christmas Blizzard, but rain and a few inches of a heavy, wet snow falling on these cities can certainly put airline travel in a sleeper hold, or at the least make for substantial delays.
If you have travel plans Wednesday along the eastern seaboard from Washington to Boston, you may want to check for any flight delays and save yourself some time and aggravation. Here’s how:
How do I check for flight delays online?
Here is the FAA web site. It provides up-to-the-minute flight delay and cancellation information for all of the country’s major airports.
And here are home pages for some of the major airlines that would provide flight delay and cancellation information if needed.
Delta
U.S. Air
Continental
Jetblue
Southwest
