Three soldiers charged with robbing convenience store

WATERTOWN, JEFFERSON CO. -- State Police in Watertown have charged three active duty soldiers based at Fort Drum with robbing a convenience store in the Town of Pamelia on January 2nd.

Troopers have charged Joshua E. Blan, 24, of Leray Street in Watertown, Christopher L. Fajardo, 22, of Walton Street in Alexandria Bay, and Jesse R. Sprint, 24, of Washington Street in Watertown each with one count of robbery in the first degree. Blan and Fajardo were also charged with one count each of criminal use of a firearm in the first degree.

All three are accused of robbing the Nice and Easy grocery store on State Route 12. All three men are being held in jail in lieu of $75,000 bail. Jail officials didn't know if they have lawyers.

Local and military police were involved in the investigation.
